what is Rum & Rumination?
"Welcome to Rum & Rumination, your destination for alternative art. Our store is a curated collection of prints and t-shirts with apocalyptic and dystopian themes. Dive into a world of unique and thought-provoking designs that set us apart from the rest."
Unique and thought-provoking...I'd go with idiosyncratic and provoked by thought but apparently AI knows us better than we know ourselves. They do have access to all of our 'in-private browsings' and the dirty little secrets we don't share with actual humans.
That being said we're trying to purge the site of AI's insidious and emotionless influences so fingers crossed that first paragraph is the last of it.
Here at Rum & Rumination we are not powered by data (possibly to our detriment) but by a tendency to over think things often with a drink in hand. What we are currently ruminating on is the end of the world. Something that I have been informed, by reliable sources, has already happened just not happened yet (time is a flat circle and all that jazz).
What caused it?
This is long list although for the most part it ultimately boils down to human nature, the duality of man (apologies for the gendering), and our inability to reconcile the dissonance between what we want and what we need. From a different perspective though the four horsemen are;
-
Climate change
-
Nuclear war
-
Global pandemic
-
AI
so that's fun!

Samuel Brown - CEO?
Uses graphite and charcoal sketches, paints them (sometimes using acrylics, sometimes Krita/GIMP, and occasionally oils) and digitises them to share with the world.
He has many qualifications (including an MSc, a PGCe, QTS) but doesn't have much use for them. In fact he questions the usefulness of many aspects of modern society and fears AI. He is also convinced that humanity is its own worst enemy.
All that aside he is a designer and artist and creates the prints and apparel that you can buy here.
Erstwhile scholar and current observer of a dead world. Spends his time searching for hard liquor and sketching the world he sees.
Through magic/science/general fuckery he then sends his observations to the world before it fell.

With thanks to

Jane Austen (yes that one)
Truth be told I've never read any of your books but I really appreciate your snappy knack for titles. We couldn't exist without you. Well we could but we'd probably have a different name.

My wife
For not leaving my sorry behind when I quit a safe and stable job to be a poverty stricken creative, due to ever deteriorating mental health. I love you even if you don't know why.
